ALAPPUZHA: A series of calls with contradictory messages and then finally the unwelcome bad news. Still, the last money order (MO) sent by slain Border Roads Organisation (BRO) driver Ramankutty Maniappan to his wife Bindu reached the destination in time, ahead of the bad news. However, all in her family and the neighbourhood were too shocked to mention it, reports said. The usual monthly allowance from her husband, meant for household expenses and education of his children, addressed to ``Bindu, Kaippalli Thekkethil, Nangyarkulangara P.O,'' reached the post office on Tuesday. He had sent the money this time early, as he was moving to Afghanistan. But, the money order was too heavy for anyone to handle this time. - UNI
