Court permits Monica's uncle to visit her

Hyderabad: Special Judge for CBI cases here on Thursday permitted Purushottam Lal Bedi, uncle of Monica Bedi, for a 10-minute meeting. Mr. Bedi, younger brother of Monica's father, arrived here on Wednesday and moved a petition seeking permission to meet her in the Chenchalguda Jail where the companion of underworld don Abu Salem has been lodged after her extradition from Portugal.

The court directed Mr. Bedi to identify himself, and documents proving his identity and his photographs were shown to Ms. Bedi. Later, the court granted Mr. Bedi permission. — UNI
