NEW FACES: Hamsavirdhan and Sruthi in `Mandiran'.
The fun-loving young man of the 60s, who gave hit movies such as `Kaadhalikka Neramillai' is now back with his first directorial venture `Mandiran'. "I wanted to use my experience and do the film to the satisfaction of the public and myself. This is a fast, action-oriented movie with a love story in it," says Ravichandran. `Mandiran' has Ravichandran's son Hamsavirdhan in the lead role and new find Sruthi is the heroine. Hamsavirdhan is happy with the unit. "I am working hard to make the film a hit. The songs and their visuals have come out well. Karthik Raja handles the camera for this romance-action story. I don three types of make up, each different in their own say," he adds. Abinayshree does a seductive number. Another of Ravichandran's sons, Balaji is the co-producer of the film and his son-in-law Sriram, who is an advocate, has also joined in the production effort. The film has music by Dhina with Ravichandran doing story, screenplay and dialogue besides direction. S.R. Ashok Kumar
