Four women shot dead

Ghaziabad: Four women were shot dead by a rival group in Noorpur village of Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police said here.

Old enmity between two groups in the village seemed to be the reason behind the killings, DSP Anil Kumar Jha said, adding police have been deployed in strength in the village to maintain law and order. No arrest has been made in the case, he said, adding police has launched a hunt to nab the assailants. -- PTI
