KOCHI: The Vidyodaya School will organise `Kayikotsav 2005', a sports fest, at its premises at Thevakkal here on December 9 and 10. A workshop on the role of physical education in the overall development of children, a discussion on the role of media in sport, a seminar on sports injuries and prevention and a sports quiz are some of the items in the two-day event. Arjuna Awardees Wilson Cherian and Shiny Wilson will inaugurate the meet. Every school can send a team, comprising six students (three boys and three girls) and accompanied by two physical education teachers. Entries will be accepted on a `first come, first served' basis with 200 being the maximum number.
