Chennai: Five promising players from Tamil Nadu, will get a chance to get some specialised racquet-training at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA) in Florida, as part of the `Advantage Tamil Nadu' programme, organised by IMG in association with NBTA.

Madura Ranganathan, Navaneetha Kannan, Jacob Tariq, Sriram Balaji and Mohammed Fariz, will undergo a one-month training and will be accompanied by Hiten Joshi, CEO, TNTA.

The programme would be an annual feature and will continue as long as India's only ATP tournament is held in Chennai.

The boarding and lodging expenses will be borne by IMG, while the SDAT will sponsor the airfare. The tennis kit will be supplied by adidas, while the TNTA will bear other miscellaneous expenses.

The six-member team will leave on November 25, and return on December 24. — Sports Reporter
