Trains diverted due to derailment

HYDERABAD: Four express trains on the Chennai-Mumbai trunk route were diverted following derailment of a goods train between Jakkalacheruvu and Rayalacheruvu stations on the Guntakal division of the South Central Railway on Thursday.

The 6011 CSTM-Chennai Express, 1081 CSTM-Kanyakumari Express and 2163 Dadar-Chennai Express were diverted to run via Gooty, Dharmavaram, Krishnarajapuram, Katpadi and Arakonnam. Similarly, 715 Tirupati-Nagarsol Special would run via Renigunta, Gudur, Vijayawada and Secunderabad.

The Guntakal-Tirupati Passenger was cancelled and the Tirupati-Guntakal Passenger was terminated at Kondapuram.

The 6010 Chennai-CSTM Mumbai Mail was regulated at Kondapuram from 7.05 am to 10.15 am, while 1082 Kaniyakumari-CSTM Mumbai Mail was regulated at Kadapa from 8.10 a.m. The Chennai-Dadar Express 2164 was regulated at Koduru from 10.35 am.
