LETHAL CRACK: A major road link between Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts, the Kanagal bridge, is on the brink of collapse. Situated only 15 km away from Nalgonda town, the 240-metre long bridge was constructed in the 1940s and reached a near-dilap idated state owing to flood waters and illegal mining of sand surrounding its pillars.
