Convocation

CHENNAI: The 148th Annual Convocation of the University of Madras would be held at 11 a.m. on November 30.

The University Registrar said in a statement here that application forms for the ensuring convocation are being issued at the enquiry counter in Chepauk. The last date for submission of filled-in application forms for Ph.D. holders is November 25 and for candidates, who have qualified for degrees prior to 1998, and others, it will be November 29.

"Those who have qualified for the degrees prior to 1998 and who have not applied for the convocation so far and yet to obtain the degree certificates from the University can also avail themselves of the opportunity."

Applications can be had on payment of Rs.25 by cash at the enquiry counter or by post on a written request along with a demand draft for Rs.25 drawn in favour of the "Registrar, University of Madras," payable at Chennai, with sufficiently stamped self-addressed envelope.
