Two-day workshop on Muslim quota

The South India Council (SIC) has planned to hold a two-day national workshop on `Muslim reservations' on November 26 and 27 at Jubilee Hall, Public Gardens.

Rajya Sabha member Rahman Khan will chair the session while Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy will be the chief guest, according to SIC chairman Fakhruddin Mohammed.

MIM leaders' fast tomorrow

The All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) will organise a token hunger strike here on November 26 in support of reservations for Muslims.

Assaduddin Owaisi, MP, five party MLAs and corporators in the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad will participate in the hunger strike camp at Indira Park, according to a press release issued by MIM.

A public meeting will be held at Tolichowki Crossroads on November 27.

Rail ticketing system opened

The unreserved ticketing system on Railtel network, which will help passengers travelling to short distances book tickets three days in advance, was opened by Railway Board Member (electrical) Ramesh Chandra at the Secunderabad Reservation Complex here on Thursday.

Handicrafts expo

An exhibition of handicrafts from Kerala is on at YMCA Hall, Secunderabad.

The craft products created by craftswomen under the aegis of KRDA, an NGO, will continue up to December 1, according to a press release.
