Woman, daughter die in suspicious circumstances
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
A woman and her daughter died under suspicious conditions on Thursday. Anuradha, 34 and her two children -- Sravani, 15, and Lokesh Reddy, 13, -- were found unconscious by her husband Bapi Reddy at their house in Jawaharnagar of Moulali in the morning.
He shifted them to Gandhi hospital where Sravani and Anuradha died a few hours later. Lokesh Reddy is battling for life. It is suspected the woman had laced a cool drink with pesticide, which she administered to her children before consuming it herself, according to Malkajgiri Inspector N. Murali.
Originally a farmer, Bapi Reddy suffered losses in agriculture and recently took up work as a car driver. A case of suspicious deaths has been booked.
