Bharat Overseas Bank raises NRE deposit rates

CHENNAI: Bharat Overseas Bank has raised the interest rates on NRE deposits with effect from November 18. It now offers 5.60 per cent for one year to less than two years deposits and 5.70 per cent for two years to less than three year deposits. For three years, the interest rate has been revised to 5.75 per cent from 5.40 per cent. The interest rate payable on NRE savings bank account has been fixed at 3.50 per cent, says a bank release.
