CHIKMAGALUR: Sri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamy of Shravanabelagola has said that the administrative trust of Shravanabelagola kshetra will undertake renovation of dilapidated Jain basadis in Angadi in Mudigere taluk. The Jain muni told a group of presspersons from here, which visited Shravanabelagola on Friday, that an estimate has been prepared in this regard and the cost of renovation will be borne by the trust. Angadi is identified as the original home of the Hoysalas, who rose to great power in South India. It has the ruins of five temples of which two are Jain basadis built in the 10th Century.
