Italy keen to invite Bollywood for shoots

Special Correspondent

Sole tour operator plans more offices

KOLKATA: Italy is keen to promote itself as a probable location for shoots for the `foreign locale-hungry' Indian film industry.

A representative of the Italian Tourist Board, Salvatore Ianiello, said this while delivering the keynote address at a seminar on Italian tourism. Later talking to The Hindu, he said a delegation from the Indian film industry was expected to visit the Mediteranean country in early 2006.

Federico Aldrighetti, Managing Director of ISCRA India Tour Operator, the only Italian tour operator to open office in India, said his company, which had offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, was now keen to open representative offices in other cities, including Chennai. ISCRA organised not only Italy tours but Europe tours too, he said.
