NALGONDA: Villagers of Nemalipuri in Mellacheruvu mandal on Tuesday gheraoed officials of Pulichintala project demanding that the Government pay compensation to the evacuees without delay, according to reports. The villagers demanded that the compensation be paid on par with market value. They made it clear that survey works would be halted, if the officials failed to pay just compensation immediately. The villagers gathered in the village when RDO Babu Rao, Deputy Collector Venkateswarlu and MRO Rammohan Rao visited the village to supervise the re-survey.
