This Day That Age
The Railway Minister, Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri, told Mr. H.C. Mathur in the Rajya Sabha on November 30 that it had been decided to "divisionalise railway zones" where the workload was heavy. An officer would be kept in over-all charge of one whole division so that better coordination of work could be achieved at the divisional level. He was, however, opposed to the division of the existing zones.
