Madhu Kumar dead
HYDERABAD: Death snatched B. Madhu Kumar, a week short of his 21st birthday at a Hyderabad hospital on Tuesday night. Madhu who was riding Greeku Veerudu in the Medak Plate (Div. I) on Nov. 28, got dislodged after the horse clipped the hind heels of Riddle and stumbled. Madhu Kumar, an alumnus of the Hyderabad Race Club's Apprentice Jockey School, was referred to hospital for medical attention, soon after the accident.
He had started riding professionally on January 21, 2002. Slated to become a full jockey on December 8, 2009, his 25th birthday, he had ridden 35 winners. A native of Amlapuram, Madhu Kumar, a hard working jockey, is survived by his parents and a brother.
