Rane Engine gets fresh contract from Volkswagen

CHENNAI: Rane Engine Valves Ltd, which has been supplying engine valves for the Golf and Polo models of Volkswagen since 2003, has bagged a fresh supply contract from the German auto maker. The company proposes to expand the capacity of its plant at Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad, to fulfil the new contract, which is for another application that will go into the Passat, Seat-Diesel. Expected to be in operation in 2007, the new contract will bring annual revenues of Euro 2.2 million. The company's present business with Volkswagen runs to two millions Euros a year, says a release, quoting the President of Rane Engine Valves, S.Srinivasan.
