Sabarish (144) and Surya Teja (136) helped Secunderabad Public School record a 416-run win against St. Martin's School in the inter-schools' (under-13) cricket tournament for Br. John of God Trophy here on Wednesday. In another match, M.V.V. Karthik struck 135 to guide All Saint's High School to a 246-run win against Dilsukhnagar School. The scores: Secunderabad Public School 483 for six (K. Sabarish 144, Surya Teja 136, M.D. Akram 93) bt St. Martin's HS 67 (Sabarish three for 20, Md. Akram three for 17). All Saint's HS 338 for eight (Himalaya Agarwal 72, M.V.V. Karthik 135) bt Dilsukhnagar HS 92 (S. Anudeep 43, Abhay Shah three for 15).
Veva records win
Veva recorded a six-wicket win over Guzzlers in the Friendship Cup corporate cricket tournament at Hyderabad. The scores: Guzzlers 143 (Chaitanya 44) lost to Veva 144 for four. Melgiri 147 for eight lost to Pharma Blues 149 for four (K. Ravi 42). Airtel 171 for eight (Preetham 58) bt Polaris 87 (Nagaraj four for 20). Sphoorthi 136 lost to Capco 140 for three (Kunal 53 not out).

St. Mary's escapes
St. Mary's High School recorded a solitary goal win over St. Ignatius High School in the Archbishop Marampudi Joji Challenge Cup football tournament at Trimulgherry Grounds here. Veer Kumar scored the match-winner. St. Antony's Church defeated St. Theresa's Church 3-1 in another match. James scored all the three goals for St. Antony's, while Dilip pulled one back for St. Theresa's.
Hat-trick by Janak
L. Janak Kumar scored four goals, including a hat-trick, to fashion BHEL (R&D)'s 8-0 win over ECIL in the third inter-institutional hockey tournament at BHEL here. N.D. Shiv Kumar (3) and Habib Osman scored the other goals. In another match, BHEL (Ramachandrapuram) and NFC were locked in a goalless draw.
Cross country meet
Hyderabad District Athletic Association will organise Cross country championship from BJR Statue at Lal Bahadur Stadium on December 4 from 6.30 am. Competitions will be held for men in 12 km and eight km, women in eight and four km, boys' under-20 years in eight km and girls under-20 in six km. Spot entries will be accepted.
