Discount for retail investors in ICICI Bank issue

Special Correspondent.

BANGALORE: Retail investors are expected to reap a bonanza from the book-build public issue of ICICI Bank that will open for subscription from December 1 to 6.

Retail investors or individual bidders including HUFs and NRIs with bid amount not exceeding Rs. 1 lakh will be allotted shares at a five per cent discount to the issue price determined through the book-building process.

Retail investors will have the option to pay Rs. 150 per share on application with the balance payable on allotment.

"This is to help the retail investors bid with a smaller sum of money to start with,'' Anup Bagchi, General Manager, ICICI Bank, told reporters here on Wednesday.
