Panda's wife files case against him
Lucknow:
The wife of former Inspector-General of Police, D.K. Panda, who was granted voluntary retirement by the Uttar Pradesh government earlier this week, has filed a case against him for allegedly harassing her.
Veena filed the FIR against her husband at the mahila thana in Hazratganj here on Tuesday, police sources said.
She has also accused her husband of having illicit relations with other women.
Ms. Veena has alleged that she was beaten up by her husband after she demanded Rs. 7000 for maintenance granted to her by the court. Mr. Panda, who has been in the news after declaring himself as `doosri Radha' and dressing up as a woman, was granted voluntary retirement on Monday by the State Government and all inquiries against him have been withdrawn.
