More time for demolition

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday gave two more weeks to the MCD to demolish 36 unauthorised constructions in residential premises at West Patel Nagar in West Delhi.

A Division Bench comprising Justice Vijender and Rekha Sharma also directed MCD to take into possession 154 plots of land whose lease granted by the Land & Development Office had been cancelled. High Court had come down heavily on MCD for permitting commercial activities in residential areas.
