MYSORE: The stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of the Rakesh trained Gearup Baby (Mohd. Yasin up) in the Nilgiris Plate (1,200m) run on Nov. 23 and fined the trainer Rs. 20,000 for unsatisfactory running of his charge. Md.Yasin was suspended from Dec. 10 till the conclusion of the Mysore Winter season for not permitting his mount to run on its merit. He is not permitted to ride work either. Jockey Ahsan Qureshi was suspended from Dec. 10 to 14 (both days inclusive) for his misconduct in the weighing room. Afsar Khan, rider of Righteous, has been suspended from Dec. 10 to 21 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding in the K.R.S. Plate (1,100m) run on Nov. 30. V. Gharat, rider of Fire's Dew, is suspended from Dec. 10 to 21 (both days inclusive) for dropping his hands and losing his second position in the final stages of the race.
