HYDERABAD: A team of German auto major Volkswagen, headed by its Corporate Executive Peter Walker, is visiting Andhra Pradesh again. Volkswagen has informed the Government that its team would make a three-day visit to the State from December 14 to continue the discussions on setting up the car project. In view of this communication, the proposed visit by a State Government delegation to Germany has been deferred. The team will inspect two sites this time — the one already offered by the Government at Visakhapatnam and the other at Eddumailaram, near Hyderabad. According to a tentative schedule, the team would first visit Visakhapatnam and later Hyderabad. As this is the second visit by the Volkswagen team within a month, the Government is viewing it as a positive signal.
