PSE oil cos. slash ATF prices

NEW DELHI: In keeping with the fall in international oil prices, public sector oil companies on Thursday slashed the prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) by Rs. 4,000 a kilolitre.

The earlier price reduction was by 1.8 per cent on November 1. Consequent to the latest price cut, the domestic prices of ATF (including sales tax) at the four metros for domestic airlines are: Delhi Rs. 31,750.56 a kilolitre (kl), Kolkata Rs. 35,978.32 per kl, Mumbai Rs. 32,564.27 per kl and Chennai at Rs. 34,664 per kl. In effect, the prices stand reduced by about Rs. 4,000-4,200 per kl.

Accordingly, the international prices of ATF (without sales tax as the local levy is not applicable) at the four metros are: Delhi $530.25 per kl, Kolkata $554.94 per kl, Mumbai $521.63 per kl and Chennai $516.08 per kl.
