Book release tomorrow

BANGALORE: The septuagenarian stage and film artiste H.G. Somashekhara Rao's maiden novel Brahmana will be released at the Surana College in the city on Saturday.

The novel published by Sundara Prakashana deals with, as the author claims, multiple dimensions, contradictions, inevitabilities and lack of choice in life underlined by varying human relationships and is set against the backdrop of pre and post independent eras. A seminar on the works of the noted poet and literary critic Sumathindra Nadig will also be held.

Lexicographer G. Venkatasubbaiah, noted literary critic C.N. Ramachandran, short story writer Jayanth Kaikini will participate.
