BCCI may allow State bodies to swap games

Special Correspondent

Kolkata: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may allow State associations to swap Tests and ODIs awarded to them.

"We will strictly follow the single rotation principle. It's a policy decision. But should the authorities of a State body feel that the match allotted to it at a particular point is likely to be affected by rain, it may be allowed to interchange with other State associations. The understanding has be reached between the two concerned associations,'' said Mr. Shashank Manohar, Vice-President, BCCI, and Chairman, Tour Programmes & Fixtures (TPF) Committee, which will have its first meeting in Mumbai on Saturday.

The TPF Committee has to decide on the venue for the third Test between India and Sri Lanka (Dec. 18-22), following the eleventh hour withdrawal of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. The committee will also finalise England's tour programme of India in March-April 2006.
