Gutti stars in Karnatak's win

MADURAI: Five goals by Melli Gutti helped Karnatak, Dharwar, score an emphatic 7-2 win over Krishna Devaraya, Anantapur, to move into the third round of the South Zone inter-University men's hockey tournament at the Madura College ground here on Thursday.

The results: Second round: Karnatak 7 (Melli Gutti 5, Chappar Mai, Gokak) bt Krishna Devaraya 2 (Mohan, Mahesh).
