Haryana paddy share in Central pool

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has delivered 5.52 lakh metric tonnes of rice to the Central pool during this season so far compared to 4.67 lakh metric tonnes during the corresponding period last year, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said here on Thursday.

He said that 2.10 lakh metric tonnes were procured by the millers while 3.42 lakh metric tonnes were contributed by the Government procuring agencies to the Central pool.

Mr Chander Mohan said that Kaithal district had contributed 1.16 lakh metric tones, Karnal 10.08 lakh metric tones, Kurukshetra 82,614 metric tonnes and Fatehabad 72,974 metric tonnes to the Central pool.

He added that 41.71 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had so far arrived in the mandis of the State.
