Held for forging property document
Staff Reporter
CHENNAI:
The Central Crime Branch police arrested Nemichand, a resident of Royapuram, on Wednesday, on the charge of forging papers to take over a property.
According to the police, Husalikanwar, 69, of Royapuram, presented a petition to the Greater Chennai Police Commissioner, R. Nataraj, last week, stating that Nemichand of Pandalai Roadhad created a false sale deed of her property. The complaint was handed over to the Central Crime Branch police.
The CCB authorities said their probe showed that Nemichand had been asked to take care of the property by its owner, Nathmull Jain, who was staying in Rajasthan with his wife Husalikanwar. Nathmull died recently.
Nemichand knew that the couple did not have children and allegedly created a false deed which stated that the property was an ancestral gift to his sons Ashokchand and Vimalchand.
When Husalikanwar came to know of this, she filed a complaint. The Central Crime Branch police arrested Nemichand and he was remanded to judicial custody.
