NEW DELHI: The Samajwadi Party on Thursday protested in the Rajya Sabha the withdrawal of an invitation to film actor Amitabh Bachchan--who is recuperating after a surgery in a Mumbai hospital--to be the Chief Guest at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, SP member Uday Pratap Singh said it was regrettable that the megastar was extended an invitation which was later withdrawn without ascribing any reason.
