BIDAR: A rabid dog jumped into a bus and bit seven persons in Kardyal in Bhalki taluk on Friday. The bus conductor and driver are among the victims. However, the doctors who treated them at the taluk hospital said they were out of danger. The bus owned by the North East Karnataka Transport Corporation was plying between Bidar and Bhalki. It stopped near Kardyal Cross when the dog jumped into the bus and started biting people. It is said that people chased the dog and killed it. All the injured have been given anti-rabies medicine, doctors said.
Killed
A shopkeeper was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Humnabad on Friday. Sunil Kumar alias Babu, 30, died on the spot. A case has been registered at the Humnabad police station.
