DHAKA: The main Bangladeshi Opposition Awami League has rejected the Government's dialogue offer on resolving the crisis of fanatic militancy arising out of the recent suicide bombings in the country that have killed a dozen persons. A resolution adopted at a meeting of Awami League Central Working Committee here on Friday demanded the immediate resignation of the Khaled Zia Government, handing over power to a caretaker government constituted with people's consent and national elections. The solution to the deadly situation now prevailing in the country is the resignation of the Government which has been sheltering militant outfits, the Awami League said. Xinhua
