Pilgrims die of cardiac arrest

PATHANAMTHITTA: A 46-year-old pilgrim, Ramachandran, of Varkattil house, Old Vythiri, Wayanad district, died of cardiac arrest at Government Hospital at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam on Saturday.

The body was taken in the stretcher unit of the Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sanghom to Pampa.

It was taken to Wayanad in the Sanghom ambulance later.

Another pilgrim, Mohanan, 55, of Ochanthuruthu Kavumkal, Vypeen, Ernakulam district, died of cardiac arrest at Sannidhanam Government Hospital at the Sannidhanam on Saturday evening.

This is the second death due to cardiac arrest to be registered at the Sannidhanam hospital on Saturday and the sixth death from cardiac arrest in Sabarimala during the ongoing annual pilgrim season.
