Land-owners to get higher price

KOCHI: The owners of land to be acquired for the Smart City project will be given the maximum possible increase in the basic price of land fixed earlier.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held by the district administration with the owners of the land to be acquired for the project on Saturday at the Collectorate. It was also decided that adequate rehabilitation schemes would be implemented for those who stand to lose their houses during acquisition. They will also be given the financial assistance.
