PALAKKAD: Three Sabarimala pilgrims from Bangalore were killed on the spot when their car collided with a tipper lorry coming in the opposite direction near the Kuzhalmannam police station on the National Highway on Saturday. According to the police, the dead have been identified as Purushothaman (48), Madhu (40) and Ramesh (45). All of them lived in Bangalore. They were returning home after darshan at the Ayyappa temple. Purushothaman was the son of Seethalakshmi Amma, Pathur House, Puduppariyaram, Palakkad. He lived in Bangalore with his family. His body has been taken to Puduppariyaram where his family is expected to reach from Bangalore. Madhu hails from Thirumamgode, Thalassery, Kannur district and Ramesh from Nedumgottor, Thalassery. A fourth person involved in the accident, Praveen, has been admitted to a private hospital in Palakkad in a serious condition.
