CUDDALORE: K. Chandra (50), wife of an archaka, was found dead with bleeding injuries in her house on Dharmasalai Street at Vadalur near here on Friday. When the archaka, Kannan, was performing pujas as usual at Odai Nayagi Amman Temple on Panruti Road in the night, his neighbour told him that something seemed to be amiss at his house. When he reached home, Mr. Kannan found his wife dead with stab injuries on the left shoulder. Gold jewellery weighing about 22 sovereigns was said to be missing. A dog squad was pressed into service, and the police had begun investigation.
