Dharmapuri: The Government has ordered issue of new family cards to all cardholders who have failed to renew or apply for new ration cards. Applications for new ration cards are available at all taluk offices in the district till December 16, said the Collector, M. Chandrasekaran, here on Saturday. The filled-in applications should be submitted at the taluk offices on or before December 16. Similarly, fresh applicants who have applied for new ration cards and those who have not received their cards from ELCOT could purchase essential commodities by producing their old ration cards at the taluk offices concerned on or before December 31. These cardholders could collect their new family cards by paying Rs. 5 and submit their acknowledgement slip and old ration card at the taluk offices on or before December 31.
