Walkathon organised to observe World Disabled Day

In Udupi, competitions were held for disabled children

FOR A CAUSE: Students of Fr. Muller's Medical College and Hospital taking out a procession on World Disabled Day in Mangalore on Saturday.

MANGALORE: The Father Muller's Medical College and Charitable Hospital on Saturday organised a walkathon in the city to observe World Disabled Day. Doctors, nurses and students took part in the event.

Udupi Staff Correspondent reports:

Organising Secretary of the State unit of the Karnataka Rajya Angavikalara Parishath Wilfred Gomes said on Saturday representatives who are physically challenged should be elected so as to highlight the requirements of the physically challenged. He was speaking at a function to mark World Disabled Day organised by the Department for the Physically Challenged and Senior Citizens. Later, competitions were held for disabled children.
