MANGALORE: The annual feast of Joseph Vaz will be solemnised at the "miracle hill" at Mudipu near here on Tuesday. There will be various religious ceremonies connected to the feast on Wednesday and Thursday. According to director of the "Joseph Vaz shrine" at Mudipu Rev. Fr. Andrew D'Souza, the miracle hill has a history of 350 years when Joseph Vaz known for his qualities of compassion and healing used to visit the hill and spread knowledge through his preaching. The shrine has been dedicated in his memory and the feast has become an annual feature since 1997 Fr. D'Souza said. This year about 5,000 devotees from all parts of the country will take part in the religious events that will be held during the three days of the feast.
