Trains delayed

KOCHI: Many trains were delayed up to an hour at Ernakulam Junction Railway Station on Saturday as testing of underground signal and power cables is being carried out. Railway Area Manager C.M. Chandrasekharan Pillai said some services would be affected on Sunday also. — Staff Reporter

Case against student

KOCHI: The Kalamassery Police have registered a case against a CUSAT student and nine others who allegedly locked up the presiding officer of the election of office-bearers of the campus union and destroyed some articles. The police averted a clash between Kerala Students' Union (KSU) and the Students' Federation of India (SFI) activists. The KSU alleged, in a release, saidthe presiding officer was biased. The CUSAT Union said the KSU sought support of anti-social elements for the attack. — Staff Reporter
