CHANDIGARH: Analysis and assessment of housing needs of towns in Haryana is on the anvil as the State Housing Board has invited expression of interest for urban renewal of selected towns, an official spokesman said here on Sunday. Initially, expression of interest has been invited from reputed consultancy firms to prepare detailed project reports for Bahadurgarh, Rohtak and Ambala. The detailed project report would include analysis and assessment of housing needs like crowding, unserviceability or poor quality of housing stock and impact of slums. It would also include recommendations on concrete measures concerning prevention of homelessness.
