Niranom church festival from December 17

PATHANAMTHITTA: The annual church festival at the centuries-old Niranom St Mary's Valiyapally near Thiruvalla, founded by St. Thomas, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, will be held from December 17 to 21.

The proclamation procession in connection with the annual church festival will be held from the Kayamkulam Church to Niranom on December 17 forenoon. The auspicious Kodiyettu ceremony will be held on the church premises at 10.30 a.m. on December 18. An evangelical meet and religious retreat will be held on December 19 forenoon.

The Holy Rasa will be held from the St Peter's and St Paul's Church in Parumala to the Niranom Valiyapally on December 20 afternoon.

Catholicos and Malankara Metropolitan Moran Mor Baselius Mar Thoma Didymos-I will be the chief celebrant at the Holy Eucharist to be held at the Niranom Valiyapally at 7.30 a.m. on December 21.
