KOCHI : Two migrant labourers from Tamil Nadu drowned in the temple pond of the Sree Subramania Temple, Vytilla, on Saturday evening. Their bodies were fished out on Sunday morning. The Panangad police said that Karupanam and Murukan, both from Theni district of Tamil Nadu, had gone to take bath in the pond on Saturday. People grew suspicious as they saw two sets of clothes on the side of the pond on Saturday and informed the police. They were working as daily-wage employees. The bodies were fished out at 9.30 a.m. and were kept in the Ernakulam General Hospital mortuary.
