Welcoming New Year

Cricket fans will have an opportunity to witness some fine action at the Kaloor Jawaharlal Nehru International stadium on New Year Day. Veteran cricketers from India and Pakistan will enthral the spectators at a day and night match, the first of its kind in Kerala.

The Pakistan team includes Wasim Akram, Rashid Lathif, Amir Sohail, Manzoor Ilahi, Rashid Khan and Thouseef Ahmad. The Indian team is to be announced later.

The Kochi match will be fourth in the `Indo-Pak Veteran series' to be played in India. The match is being organised by Kerala Veterans Cricket Association, affiliated to the Board of Veteran Cricket in India.
