Narain to test for Williams

London: Indian Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan will test drive for Williams, hoping to land the third seat behind Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber. The team said on Tuesday he would test for three days in Jerez, Spain, beginning Wednesday.

Narain drove for Jordan last season — his first in F-1 — and scored five points as the first Indian driver to compete in the sport.

Part of securing the test drive will require Narain to bring personal sponsorship to the team. Last season he was sponsored by the Tata Group, one of India's largest conglomerates. — AP
