JAMSHEDPUR: Feroz Ali and S.S.P. Chowrasia, the two leading golfers from Kolkata, were tied at four-under over 18 holes on the opening day of the Tata Open at the Beldih and Golmuri courses here on Tuesday. Feroz, playing twice over at the Beldih course, turned in a card of four-under 68, while Chowrasia had a score of four-under 66 at the Golmuri. Veteran Ali Sher led a group of players at the Golmuri golf course who shot three-under 69. Ajai Gupta from Delhi, Sanjay Kumar from Lucknow and Dinesh Kumar of Mhow were the others who turned in cards of three-under. The Golmuri golf course saw 10 under-par scores, with Harinder Gupta and Shamim Khan carding two-under 68, while C. Muniyappa, Rohit Chaudhary and Digvijay Singh ended the day on one-under 69. Leading scores at Beldih (after 18 holes; par-72): 68 - Feroz Ali; 70 - Mukesh Kumar, A.S. Malik; 71 - Sk. Abbas Ali, Rahul Ganapathy; 72 - Amit Dube, M. Dharma; At Golmuri (18 holes; par-70): 66 - SSP Chowrasia; 67 - Sanjay Kumar, Ajai Gupta, Ali Sher, Dinesh Kumar; 68 - Harinder Gupta, Shamim Khan; 69 - C. Muniyappa, Rohit Chaudhary, Digvijay Singh. Amateurs: 72 - Navtez Singh; 73 - Pawan Marwah.
