BANGALORE: Budding badminton players from all the universities in South India will vie for honours at the South Zone inter-university men and women's tournament to be played here from Dec. 8 to 11. Forty-eight teams have confirmed participation. The semifinalists of the championship will partake in the all-India tournament to be held at Gwalior. Prakash Padukone will inaugurate the SZ championship at the indoor basketball stadium, RV College of Engineering on Dec. 8. After the inaugural match, all matches will be played at the Karnataka Badminton Association Stadium. Special Correspondent
