Clearance for PVC resin project hailed

CHENNAI: The Chennai Plastics Manufacturers and Merchants Association has welcomed the clearance given for setting up a greenfield PVC resin project at Cuddalore. The project, to be set up by Chemplast Sanmar, has been cleared by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and the Union Ministry of Environment.

The association said the clearance of the project had come at the most appropriate moment, as hundreds of industries engaged in manufacturing PVC products were in need of PVC resin.
