Manipur blast kills BSF jawan

IMPHAL: A Border Security Force jawan was killed and some of his colleagues were injured in a remote-controlled bomb explosion at Yairipok Bamon Leikai in Thoubal district of Manipur on Tuesday.

The personnel belonging to 29 BSF were on a foot patrolling when the explosion occurred.

It is said the personnel bashed up passersby, triggering an angry reaction from the people. However, the police brought the situation under control.

One bomb was recovered nearby. Police experts exploded it in controlled conditions. No arrest has been made so far.
